Erika Pitzel, associate at Stanton Law, has a wide range of experience handling employment and transactional matters as well as trust, estate, and probate issues. Pitzel began honing her analytical skills while working as a geologist in the environmental engineering industry. After several years of investigating and creating solutions for complex environmental problems, Pitzel sought out a new challenge which led her to the legal field.
“I’m a problem solver, which is a carry-over from my previous career. Whether it’s helping a family settle an estate or a small business owner overcome challenges and grow her business, I can help.”
At Stanton Law, Pitzel is empowered to draw on more than just her prior work skills and detail-oriented nature. She helps identify legal issues, craft policies, and draft complex documents. Additionally, Pitzel provides earnest and strategic counsel to those needing estate planning as well as steady and compassionate assistance to those dealing with legal decisions both before and after the loss of a loved one.
“Stanton Law is a very collaborative environment. Clients are our primary focus of course, but the attorneys are a close second. We’re here to support each other as a team, which makes us more effective in providing solutions to our clients.”
A California native, Pitzel graduated summa cum laude from Washington & Lee University, majoring in both geology/environmental studies and political science. She later earned her law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.
She and her spouse, David, have three kids, all of whom are in various stages of (hopefully) becoming productive adults. In her free time, Pitzel enjoys playing tennis, cheering on Atlanta’s sports teams, visiting the country’s national parks, and spending time with her family.
