JH Rogers focuses his practice on creditors’ rights and complex collections matters, particularly high-value cases involving distressed businesses and hard-to-collect debt. He helps clients pursue recovery by untangling layers of corporate structure, financial arrangements, and, in some cases, outright evasion.
“When recovery seems impossible, that’s when we get to work.”
A native of Austin, Texas, JH graduated from Auburn University before earning his J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law. After law school, he practiced bankruptcy law in Dallas, working across the full spectrum of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 cases.
Most recently, he spent several years at an Atlanta-based hedge fund, where he developed a deeper understanding of the alternative asset space.
For JH, the deeper the dive, the better. He enjoys learning how different industries operate and finding a path through the complications standing between his clients and the money they’re owed.
Outside of the office, he’s a husband and father of three young daughters. So whenever he gets the chance, he enjoys any excuse to get outdoors, especially for golfing, bird hunting, and fishing.
