Maxine Lawson

Maxine is a second year Juris Doctor Candidate at Georgia State University’s College of Law and currently serves as Stanton Law’s 2022-23 Law Clerk. Maxine also serves as the 2022-23 Media Coordinator officer for the Ronald J. Freeman Chapter of the Black Law Students Association.

Prior to law school, Maxine attended the University of Florida, where she earned her BA in Criminology while also minoring in Anthropology. Maxine is a strong believer in giving back to the community, exemplified through her participation in multiple student organizations during her undergraduate years. As a mentor for Bridges Outreach, Maxine aided high school students in their pursuit of higher education by providing advice and support during the college application process. Maxine also served as the Economic & Employment Enrichment Chair for the Gator Chapter of the NAACP with a focus on their Free Breakfast Program for youth in East Gainesville, Florida.

Maxine enjoys exploring her new hometown of Atlanta. As a self-proclaimed Foodie, her favorite explorations often involve finding new restaurants to try. When she is not working, completing assignments for class, or hunting for new eateries, Maxine unwinds by playing video games or finding new hobbies. Her latest obsession is honing her graphic design skills.
