Amy joins Stanton Law, as an Associate. Amy attended the University of Georgia where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus in creative writing and 18th century literature. She graduated summa cum laude and was named a First Honor Graduate with a 4.0 GPA. Amy is also a cum laude graduate of Georgia State University College of Law.

Prior to attending law school, Amy was the head of Human Resources for a technology company with over 300 employees in three locations in the United States and Canada. In that role, she balanced the responsibility of developing a positive organizational culture in a rapidly growing company with the administrative duties inherent in Human Resources while navigating the potential minefield of employment law and employee issues.  Amy’s experience gives her a unique perspective so that she understands the challenges her clients face having been in their shoes. Her practice focuses on all aspects of the employer-employee relationship, including representing and advising employers in claims involving hiring, wage, and leave disputes; harassment; discrimination; and retaliation.

When she’s not working, Amy enjoys walking her dog, Treena, hiking, and bike riding with her husband, Mark. She believes in giving back to her community and has served as a literacy tutor and volunteer coordinator for Literacy Forsyth and a docent for the Margaret Mitchell House where she enjoyed giving guided tours to an international audience.
